since the Philippines is considered a third world country so I think Filipinos are generally poor

It's on the people's mindset. Most Pinoys don't think about the future and think short term. Once makakwarta lang, waldas dayun. Pinoys generally are one-day millionaires.

The only reason you think it's a "gamay problema" is because you are not in their shoes and thus are not fully aware of two main things, a) complexities they have to deal with in modern urban society, and b) their own psychological stability. Meaning, not all people under extreme stress and pressure in the "dato" societies commit suicide whenever faced with grave problems...if this were the case, daghan na unta nangamatay sa ilaha.

Mas stressful ang life sa ubang countries compared to there. Diri lang sa US daan, bills bills bills, life is stressful. Although I don't think daghang magsuicide diri because mas stressful but daghang sakit. Obessity for one is according to studies caused by stress. Alzheimers etc. Kalain lain lang sakit diri tungod sa stress. Di magsilbeng walay trabaho mamatay ka, ang kita igo rapud ipangbayad sa bills, ipada sa Pilipinas. So mas hayahay gyud ta diha sa ato coz you know why? Here example:

1) Unless we live in major cities nga naay buses and trains people have to have their own transportation here to go to work to go to school to go anywherelse. Monthly payments na pud sa car and insurance pa. Gasto di ba?
----> There in Pinas, transportation is readily accessible anywhere. Bisan pa pinakalayong dapit, naay traysikol naay traysikad.

2) We have to wear 4 sets of clothing because of the weather. Spring, summer, fall, & winter.
----> There pwede ra all year long.

3) Because of the changes in weather here, utilities expense vary too. Gas or electric basta winter kay kinahanglan naay heater, same goes with gasoline for cars, kinahanglan pud mag heater basta tingtugnaw na.
----> Kita mga datu ray kinahanglan ug aircon, magsilbe ra ta'g electric fan all year long.

4) Houses are expensive in fact, people pay monthly mortgages and 30 years pa ma impas. That means, ni graduate na akong mga anak una pa maakoa gyud ang balay.
----> There, pwede na magpayag basta lig-on lang.

There are many reasons why people say Filipinos are generally poor besides the fact that we're a third-world country of course but it's because of geographic location and many other factors that we really don't need to exert too much effort in making too much because, i put it quite simply, we can live simply

And of course, economy pa, and influences? We don't know how to save. We are indeed one-day millionaires. Tinuod gyud ni. Tungod man pud gud na mabuhi raman pud gud ta bisan unsa ka pobre gud. Naay kamunggay, ginamos, buwad. Hehe. Life is happy!

Grabe gyud ang effect sa stress, diri daghan gyung masakiton, labi na matiguwang makaana ta wala man kaau na sa atoa uy that's because life there is more relaxed compared to here. Grabe makapatambok man nang stress. Although there are many causes for obesity but I guess you're right, we're thankful nga mahal ang junk foods and chocolates para sa atong budget. Hehe.

What makes pinoys poor? hehe simple ra mga migo, pinoy buy what they want not what they need.. that is why walay contentment and grabe ang corruption ang mo suffer ang mga walay trabaho mo samot ka pobre.

pero pinoy is not poor. Philippines is actually rich kung ma tarong pag dala. ang pangutana, madala pa ba ni?

Malipay ra tawon ang pinoy bisan gamay kay sa limited na man kaayu ilang mind tungod sa environment. Pero if given a chance baya noh pinoys are one of the successful nga mga negosyante ug employee sa kalibutan.

agree jud ko anang one day millionaire hehe its the reality nga ni exist sa attitude sa pinoy. If only pinoy buy what they need maka save pa jud unta.
