Like for example:
friendster.COM
and
iSTORYA.NET
Originally, it was suggested that .COM be used primarily for commercial businesses, .NET for network related organizations and .ORG for nonprofit groups.
But today, everybody just register whatever is available...

wala na gyud distinction bitaw,

Yes, there really is no distinction between the three TLDs now, there are TLDs however which do have rules on who can possess them. .us for example requires the registrant to be in the US or have US citizenry, however they don't really have any form of verification when you register a .us domain. Other countries however are stricter.
OT: unsa-un mana bro if ganahan ko nga naa koy domain like www.blank.com kinsa akong mga duolon ana...?
look for a web hosting company then e check if available pa ba ang domain name nga imong gus2..
