X2 of 512 is 1024mb = 1GB so mao na iya difference.
The higher the ram the better.
512megabytes
1 gigabytes
1 gigabytes = 1000megabytes
more memory = more storage space for textures...
Usually, 1G of ram is used for texture intensive games that run at 1920x1200 or higher.
It's dependent also on how texture intensive the game is so 1G won't necessarily be faster than 512mb at all times.
Check this link out: http://en.expreview.com/2007/12/30/r...%EF%BC%9F.html <-- i think the article was originally in Chinese hence the grammatical errors.
they compared 3 8800GTs (256MB, 512MB and 1GB)
Thanks for the info, Ill stick with 512MB kay di man kaayo heavy ako games.
main purpose of the video memory are frame buffers. meaning, ang na render sa GPU is diri i-store before sent to output (monitor). pareha ra gud sa photoshop, you work with large images and it takes time to open the document, zoom in or out, make changes, etc. the same principle applies to the frame buffer. if you're running high resolutions, your video card must have a proportionate storage so that continous ang output sa display.
usual symptom na gamay ra imong video memory to the resolution that you're running is when you're playing a 3D game and you alt + tab to windows, the graphics card has to render another image which is your desktop from the current one na 3D game. if gamay ra imong memory, it will take time for the graphics card to show your desktop whereas if sufficient ang memory, dali ra ma render ang imong desktop.
thanks bai![]()
