Greetings...
Is it okay to use a 20pin PSU to a 24pin Motherboard? Considering that I know the wattage limitations on the PSU and the components that will be used?

naay possibility nga mo-hang na kung intensive use na...unless kung vice versa.
it works...
ang 20pin PSU nako kai rated 65watts...
total consumption on 'all' components would never exceed 50watts atmost I think...
components might be:
intel xeon e3 1220L v2 (17watts max)
mobo (10watts?)
stock cpu fan (1watt)
1x 80mm fan (1watt)
1x hdd (less than 10watts)
I don't think its possible without wiring diagram - you have to know what's extra 4 pin, and voltage, used for.
Try getting/borrow PSU with 24 pins and check the voltage of four extra pins and go from there....
it can.
but the safest to use a 20pin on a 24pin slot is to use an adapter
on the powersupply circuit board. all wires of same output have the same source.
hapit ko kalimot nga na-a man di-ay ni
@Jess_V
these are very old 20pin PSU's, so murag wala pa basin mahimo ang 24pin PSU's sab, therefore, wala converters ^_^
