Yap...only the DTR...
Unsa DTR? pila na gigalan rn? kana wla router kay samok au forward2x ug port.
Gigabit ethernet imo pasabot?
Basically ang transfer rate mag improve, pero dili cya mahalata kaayo unless you are moving huge amounts of data (like DVD ISO files)
from one computer to another within the network.
Naa na router mga gigabit na ethernet? Ngita ko kana wla mga router gud. samok au portforwarding. naa gigabit na switch ra. What if connect nmo DSL modem dba 100mbps ra mna. ma downgrade tanan network?
Dili sad.. ang modem source of internet data ra man na..
Ang connection ana gkan lang sa internet gateway. so mag agad ra ang imo gigabit ethernet sa speed sa imo dsl. pero kung inter computer peripheral device, like NIC or switch or router, dha na maapektaran kay computer to computer man ang transfer nga giconsider.
besides no DSL service can go higher than 6mbps so far and like I said, dili jud mahalata ang advantage sa gigabit unles you transfer huge amounts of data like 7gigs of DVD iso or mga game installers through a network connection. kasi if your transfering only 50 mb through a 100mbps ethernet connection wa pay 1 sec human na. di jud halata.
Unsa barato rn na gigabit switch/hub kana pina ka gamay na ports lng. kana barato jd na gigabit? samukan ko router sa ila settings2x ngita ko rn kana hub ra.
you can try linksys bro... we do use linksys gigabit switch in our office... naa may linksys nga 8 port lang.. i think its around 4K if wa ko nasayop...
About the gigabit LAN, 60% na sa among workstations are running on gigabit lan.. of course, performance wise, dako jud ko kaayo improvement especially if interoffice nga large file transfer...
One thing to consider is your horizontal cabling when it comes to upgrading into gigabit networks.. cat5 by theory is only up to 100MBPS, preferred cables should be cat5e; or cat6 which is the most suited in a gigabit lan network..
Sa office, almost 70 percent sa among cables ang gibaklas to give way to cat6 cables for optimum gigabit network..
Ngita ko gigabit ra na switch/hub bro kana wla na router. Unsa brand maayo na gigabit hub/switch na 4-8 port ra. Asa sad ta kapalit ana cat5e or cat6 cable?
Mas maayo gud high-speed switch lang gamiton kung naa mo modem that authenticates automatically, (not advisable for smartbro setup)
kay mas barato and mas simple ang configuration
Ayaw ang hub kay kinahanglan cya i configure (DOS), dili automatic.
I bought a 5-port switch at sm, kalimot ko brand.. ako nya tanawon..
tag 500 ra.. pero dili man cya gigabit. 10/100mbps ra cya (barato man) netgear, linksys , has gigabit switches that are a bit expensive..
