internet problem 10 pc only 4 pc can connect..

Mga Hait nato diha nga mga masters pls help me sa internet problem
ISP: PLDT fiber optic
Problem: no connection sa uban pc , ihave 10 units sa ako cafe but 4 ra maka connect niya usahay mubalhin napod sa lain pc pikas napod naa....tried basic trouble shooting na like changing switch hub duha na ako giilis same japon...change lan cables mau japon ...ge reset ge off mau japon....ako gipang gamitan ug wifi adapter nalang but gipang kawat sad sa mga amaw.....until now same probs pa....wala pa time hapit PLDT medyo busy..mau seek advice sa ato mga banggiitan diri..tnx..wish to have solution on my problem kay ang para bugas ug katas raba hehehehehehe....

Basic troubleshooting:
1. Ping
- launch ping from all computers
- from each machine/pc open 2 cmd terminal at the same time and ping 2 destinations: ping the local gateway and ping an external site e.g. google.com
- check if you have reply from both local and external destination on all pc's
- you should have reply from all both local and external on all machines.
- otherwise you really have some internet connection issue.
- that would be other steps.
- this just confirms if you really have a problem.

do you have router? can you pls post your network diagram or topology.

did you have reply from local gateway and time out from the external ports? does this happen to 6 of the ten machines? while the 4 machines have reply from both local and external?

also can you check the ip address and gateway of each machines? are they private or public ip? if its public ip, i suspect your modem router is set up as bridge and was only allocated with 4 ips. if thats the case you may need to buy a router and set it up to create a route to one of the 4 public ip address.

one thing that triggers me is that im using this modem router for a year with no problem but suddenly it ame out like this na....i will try used another router by tommorow..tnx sa tnan..
