PC to PC LAN | Internet problem

scenario:

i have two PC at home, the main PC is my rig while the 2nd is my sis' PC, so wat i want is the 2nd PC will be connected to the internet also using the globe Siemens Gigaset SE260 w/c my main rig is using + Cnet 8port switch. the problem is when i tried to connect/test my PC alone with switch + modem router i dont receive/have an internet connection. pls help i think its about my modem w/c dont have bridge mode. any1 with this modem successfully connected 2 pc using switch with internet here? TiA.

butange ug router bro. or put another lan card from ur sis pc to act as server to server net in your switch.

Ang imo buhaton para maka internet ang 2 ka computer. dapat ang 2 ka computer maka network connected dretso didto sa cnet8port switch unya ang kaning cnet8port switch mo connect didto globe Siemens Gigaset SE260 nga modem router.



- Ang mahitabo ani 3 ka ports mag siga sa imo cnet 8port switch
pc1 connect to cnet 8 ports switch
pc2 connect to cnet 8 ports switch
modem router connect to cnet 8 port switch

note:
- make sure your modem router is set to DHCP Server not Static
- if naka static imo buhaton manualon nimo pag set ang ip address sa pc1 ug pc2 unya butangan nimo ug gateway ug dns gamit ang ip address sa router.
- if naka enable ang dhcp server sa imo modem router automatic set na wala naka buhaton sa pc1 ug pc2.

mao ni ako gbuhat ron. cguro tungod pod nis windows 7 os nga gamit naku sa akong main rig. il keep this thread updated after ma solve na naku ang problem. anywys thnx sa info bro.

ah ok windows 7 diay imo gamit bro, i disable kuno ang ipv6 bro ipv4 lang gamita kay basin dili capable imo router ana

problem solved! ang cable ra diay diperensya.. (the crossover cable from cnet switch to siemens modem is not working) no need to config or disable something from windows 7 os either. in addition the tips from rbrallos is correct.

i think that not x-over cable you should use straight thru connection for that...

u fail. coz u need a crossover cable for that.
