Filipino travelling back to the Philippines after a long absence

I have just helped my mother renew her Filipino passport and her US green card ... now she wants to go back to the Philippines. It has been years since she has been back and I would not know where to begin to help her. I am sure there are others around here who go back to the Philippines often and can probably help me out with some information.

My questions are ...

1. What paperwork does she need from the Philippine government? She holds a Filipino passport so I'm assuming she needs none except her passport.

2. What paperwork does she need to fill out from the US government so she can come back to the US with as little hassle as possible? As stated, she already holds a green card and both her kids are American.

she need to get a 2 year re entry permit prior to her departure in US so she wont have any problems coming back

Thank you for the information. It seems she doesn't need a re-entry permit if she doesn't plan on being there for over a year.

yep you are right... re entry permit is needed if the green card holder is out for more than 6mos in US.
