To go with AMD or Intel?

mga sir I have an Intel i5 2320 @ 3.0ghz stock clock procie....my plan is to upgrade a little lang coz murag feel nako
bottledneck ko sa GTX 680 2GB gpu (not sure though hehe ) ...my question, which procie is much better for an upgrade?
Intel i5 3570 or AMD FX 8350 (8cores) or AMD FX 6300 (6cores)? I am more leaning towards gaming and multitasking for office use and etc...ako lang knang cpu nga makahunat akong gpu and at the same time mu-suffice na siya for the latest game releases.
u might wonder wala nako giapil ang i7's hehe, dili lang sa ko ug i7 kay overpriced pa siya kaau para nako, and im hoping knang
maka barato na pud but good performance ghapon....salamat!

PS: Im not into video editing or any cpu intensive apps, more on gaming lang gyud and multitasking ng basic office apps (word, excel, powerpoint etc.)

unsa man ang imohang mobo? if Z77 chip set based sya, are you inclined to do OC'ing? if not and/or you are not into OC, that i5-3570 is good... if mag OC ka ug Z77 ang chip set, ayaw duha2x, get the "K" variant... para dili naka maka gasto sa mobo... a CPU change is a better option...

for your intended use, that i5 is more than enough...

Dili na bottleneck bro. Im even using a 760 on a gtx 680 overclocked @ gtx 770. Wala may bottleneck. I know because performance monitor and afterburner are constantly running in the background when i game.

hehe cheapo lang akoang mobo sir h61 to siya...and im not into oc'ing pud sir so mag agad lang ko sa mga stock clock...
mao libog lang ko since ang AMDs have higher clock frequencies and more cores but its cheaper by a hefty amount compare sa mga intel counterparts like i5 and i7's....aside sa i5 3570 which is an obvious upgrade, are both the AMD FX 6300 and FX 8350 an "upgrade" for my i5 2320?

down grade diay kun mag ilis ka's FX CPU for gaming... based on the CPU hierarchy... changing from FX-6300 or FX-8350 would be a down grade... remember, it is not the GHz numbers or the CPU cores that matters... what matter's is its real speed (IPC and the micro-architecture design including the performance of the individual cores)... intel's IPC is faster man lagi... fact man ni sya... and we don't know when ma turn ang tables...

as what bro keropi said... that i5-2320 still packs a punch... dili sya bottle neck sa GPU nimo...

i7 bro @lamoks , kaya ra kaayo na nimo. even though na kaya ra kaayo na sa i5 ang duwa with ur GTX680

you will just have to change procie

and ADD SSD too < that H61 has no SATAIII, so better change it >

so maybe change mobo too < Henzki is ditching his B75 @ cheap >



or go directly HASWELL < mobo + procie + SSD > for real upgrade


bottomline : PC performance is NOT JUST a processor crunch number, it's an overall performance envelope of parts in concert.

aw mao sir downgrade diay ang AMD FX series sa akong procie in terms of gaming....karon pako nga dili diay dependent ang performance sa GHz numbers, L2 chache, ug cores ang gaming or apps...i thot behind nako kay bago maning gawas ang FX gud hehe
