This is an ongoing issue I've been having with globe telecoms.

Ive been a postpaid subscriber of globe since 1999 and for the past 14 years, this has got to be the worst experience by far. I was on a business trip last Nov 20 and had to turn my phone off during the trip. When I arrived at my destination and turned my phone back on, I got a message saying that the network is restricted. That afternoon I visited the globe outlet and customer service advised that my sim was damaged. They then proceeded to change my sim card and said that the whole reactivation process would take just 5 minutes. What was supposed to take a few minutes later turned into around 30 minutes of waiting as the customer service person mentioned that they were having problems with their system. Finally, they told me that they had to again change to another sim card as the first one they issued got "stuck" on their system. The 5 minute advise now turned into the usual 24-48 advise. They assured me that it would be fine and that I just needed to monitor my phone from time to time.

The next day (day 2) there was still no signal from my phone but what seemed strange was that I got reports from my business contacts, friends and family that someone else would answer if they call my number. Using another phone, I called my own number and was surprised when someone else answered. She said that she just got this number and people have been calling her. It was then that I went back to globe to report the issue. After waiting around 1 hour, I explained the situation to the Csr. He seemed to understand my concern but after about 1hr and 30 minutes of trying to fix the issue, he told me that he would be working on it that day and I was advised to just leave the sim with him and he would contact me at my other number.

that afternoon, I received a call that all was okay and i just had to pickup the sim. I picked it up early the next day (day3) and went about my business trip. Around 3pm, the phone again lost signal and when i called my number, someone else answered it. I couldnt believe that this was happening again. I cut my meetings short and took a taxi to globe to report the issue. I spoke to the agent who gave me the sim card and after around 30 minutes waiting, I got frustrated and asked to talk with the manager. the manager admitted that there really is something wrong with their system as they are going through a system upgrade. I was issued another sim card (my 3rd sim) and he even gave me a 4th sim to try if the other one didnt work.

that night, the phone seemed to be working so i thought the nightmare was over. the rest of the business trip proceeded without incident.

then just last night, a few days after the problem was supposed to be fixed, I am getting the network restricted error again. this is the 3rd time this has happened now. I am exhasperated, frustrated and angry with the whole issue and am wondering why this is happening again. Im going to globe later to see whats what.

When will this nightmare end.? im this close to giving up my number with globe.
