First of all bro, yahoo is not a IMAP , its a POP, or a POP3 server (one example of an IMAP server is AOL)

POP and IMAP servers are different.. for POP servers, you have to manually tap send/receive on your outlook to get your emails.. its not auto configured to fetch your email, not like the case of IMAP (AOL) which it can directly push your emails on to your outlook even if your pc is close..

    going back on your issue...

Yahoo has two accounts bro.. one account is thru using your web browser (yahoo web based email) and from there on access your email by logging in..

the other account is thru yahoomail PLUS.. its not for free bai.. you have to subscribe on this for a fee.. thru yahoo.. and im not sure how much yahoo is charging for that...

anyway try tinkering on this settings that i've looked into..

hope this works on your end.. if not.. then at least you tried in doing so.. (di ba?)

    Incoming server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
    Outgoing server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Use ESMTP

    Cheers!

of course.. you can even set this up on your cell, you'll just have to pay per kb/emails though, to your wireless carrier,,

i've setup emails before on some of my collegues' pda phones and it worked like a charm to them..
