Configure Yahoo mail to use Thunderbird or MS Outlook for FREE!

Do you want to receive and send emails through MS Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird?
Yahoo free emails supports POP and SMTP without paying for Yahoo Plus!
There was once a software called Ypops! but it is no longer needed, you can setup
a Pop Mail account in yahoo for FREE in these easy steps.

This only works for old emails made on year 2002 - 2006? I guess.

1.) Edit your account information and set the Preferred content to Yahoo! Asia
2.) Go to Mail Options
3.) Select Pop and Forwarding and choose setup or edit POP forwarding
4.) Choose Web and Pop Access
5.) Configure MS Outlook or Thunderbird settings

Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 995

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication

Account Name/Username: (your_username)@yahoo.com
Email address: (your_username)@yahoo.com
Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password

very helpful.. ang ako lang nahan ko na ma usa tanan ako email.. pwede ba ma himo like sa amo office man gud ang gamit namo kay ms outlook. .then nahan ko ma usa lang ako email.. like sa company then ang receiving nako nga mails from ym ma dawat gihpn nako sa outlook.. bali duwal sya..

at first wla ni work sa ako account.
ang trick to make it work kay ichange ang Preferred Content setting to "Yahoo! Asia".
see the second link provided by TS kay step by step instruction with screenshots.


but for now, Gmail pop access lang sa ko.
kuyawan man ko sa yahoo mail kay daghan spams.
