Can't install Windows98 SE on empty but working harddisk..

Bai, i tried to install Win98 SE on an empty harddisk. At first, it seems fine, until the setup warned that it will perform a routine check. After the routine check, the system will reboot. Then after sa reboot, you will be given two options, 1. Boot from Hard Drive and 2. Boot from CD-ROM. Kung pili-on nako ang first option, an error message saying, "INVALID SYSTEM DISK. REPLACE DISK AND PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE." kung pilion sad nako ang ika-duha, mobalik na sad sa setup process.. Mo routine check na sad utro, then magpa-reboot na pud. Magbalik-balik lang routine check, then reboot.

Na-install na man ang Win98 adto nga harddisk. Pero naa to'y error nga "Windows Protection Error", unya dili nako ka-sulod sa Windows. Twice na ko naka-encounter ani nga problem. Sa-una ang akong gibuhat, gi-reformat naho ang harddisk and re-install Win98. Wala ko'y problema sa pag-install adto sa una. Mao ra sad ako gibuhat sa ika-duha pero mao lagi aho problema, mag-balik2x ra sa routine check.

Mao ni ang specs sa PC nga ako gi-installan..

Harddisk: HP 3.02 GB
Mem : 96 MB
Proc : Pentium 350 MHz

Unsa kaha mga possible solutions inyo ma-suggest.?

P.S. I can say that the HD is working coz it was detected on other PCs.

Unsa pasabot nimo bro? Ang File System sa HD kay Fat32 na man to. Dili man sad ko maka-abot sa routine check kung dili Fat32 ang File System. Unsa man aho buhaton bro?

try to check the bios setting or wla nimu tarong ug format ang drive c: or wla na active ang imung drive c:

e zero fill imo hardisk kung seagate na, or e repartition imo hardisk

just make the drive as "Active Partition" no need to reformat again.. using fdisk or xp's hard drive manager

Kung mag-install ka Win98 kay dili man puwede sa harddisk nga NTFS ang File System. Dili ka maka-proceed sa setup process kung dili Fat32 imo harddisk. Ang routine check kay apil man sa setup process sa Win98.

Ok na mga bro. Na-install na naho ang OS. Memory ra diay ang problema. Gipulihan nako ang usa ka memory, then na-install na. Pastilan jud ning memory kung mag-daut, dili ta kasabot..
