intel 845 chipsents only have socket 478. they have 400mhz system bus.

(revisions do have 533 mhz bus speeds) pero i think they r all sock 478 cpus

you can use it but remember not to use presscott 478 cpu on it. im currently using it with an intel northwood 2.40 GHz on it and over clocked to 2.8 GHz.

845E, 845PE, 845GV,845G,845GE === they have a max of 533 MHz FSB and can run presscots, and HTs

845,845GL ==max of 400MHz FSB and runs northwoods etc.


i have around 8 boards 845GL and i use Pentium 4 1.8G Northwoods
and around 6 845GV boards that run P2.4G Presscots.


unsa man jud specific chipset imo bro? 845 rajud? plain? then it wont run Hypertreading or presccot chips
