I thought having a competition is good, but if one is only copying what the other is doing, it's just plain bad.
This is line with PLDTs control of Smartbro canopy imposing a Fair Usage Policy last April. I was planning of moving to Globe, but I had vacation plans in May, so the plan was on hold. Then this happen. (source: Philippine Star 6/16/13)
P799 = 1Mbps = 3GB Monthly Cap
P1099 = 2Mbps = 10GB Monthly Cap
P1299 = 3Mbps = 15GB Monthly Cap
Gone are the 3 Gb - 5 Gb daily cap. They're doing exactly what PLDT is doing.
Globe just missed a huge opportunity to get more subscribers. But then, they started that Fair Usage Policy in the country, so it is their company policy to make everyone not to have internet all the time.
