Mga boss currently akong Video Card kay ang Powercolor 7870, then ang akong PSU kay 600w.. Silverstone 600w Plus (ST60F-P) to be exact.. Ok rah ba ni nga powersupply if m.decide ko nga mag crossfire ug 7870? or do I need to increase my wattage?

Na.overclock nako akong i5-3570k to 4.5 ghz at 1.25V at Extreme PLL voltage.. but i can restore it to stock settings if needed..

    "Poor mans ugly rig"
    MOBO: Maximus V Gene
    PROCIE: Intel Core i5-3570K (@4.5ghz 1.25V)
    RAM: 2x4gb Kingston HyperX black 1600mhz cl9 1.5V
    HDD: 1tb WD Caviar Black 7200rpm Sata 2 3gb/s
    GPU: Powercolor 7870 ghz edition
    PSU: Silverstone 600w Plus (ST60F-P)
    Case: Silverstone Sugo 09
    Fans: 1x180mm , 3x80mm , 2X120mm NO LEDS

    Thanks in advance mga master

^ your PSU will do the job in feeding juice on a pair of HD7870 2-way crossfirex... with your i5 in OC mode...

sa AMD site, 600 W (true rated) ang ilahang gi recommend for Xfirex on their HD7870... dako kaayo na'g guard band pa gyud ang gi recommend nila... there is a head room in OC'ing your CPU pa...

I recalculated the power supply requirement assuming nga ang gihatag nga requirement sa AMD is for non 80 plus PSU.. assuming generic PSUs run at 50% efficiency. and 80 plus bronze PSU at 85%.. OK rah cya if ang specification sa AMD is for non 80 plus.. but if it's for 80 plus ok rah gyud nah ang 600w? I mean 600w nah for 80 plus ang requirement? or 600w for non 80 plus?

kay if 600w for 80 plus nah xa then dili gyud diay nah xa kadaog together with the OC.. askto bah? assuming running Prime 95 small fft and furmark burn test for stress testing?

nkalimut diay ko butang.. Im using Noctua's NH-C14 with dual 140mm Fans.. apil nako sa calculation sa power consumption..

i have posted a link here on the actual usage of a gaming rig with a dual 8800 GTX and an OC CPU... mura'g nag draw lang to'g 400+W VDC from the PSU. that set-up is a much more a "Power Hog" compared to today's standard (your rig is included)... akoa tong ukayon ha... if makit-an nko, post nako dri for reference...

dili naman ko maka tul2x ato... hehehe... pero, maka kuha ka'g idea sa ani na link... check the Ampere rating of your PSU... based sa ana na reference, kaya ra gyud kaayo in terms of your PSU wattage and HD 7870 in Xfirex... but, again, double check your PSU's ampere rating... i'm sure, ok ra pud ang Amp rating nya...

Thanks daan boss lloyd_joy... Theoritical kaau ko mkadala ug calculation ani gud.. ang actual load man gyud ang lisod kwaon... 155W ang 8800, 175W ang 7870

^ bro, kanang 8800 GTX or Ultra, mas dako panag kaon ug kuryente sa HD 7870... the current GPUs now are much more energy efficient and consumes less power...

no match kaayo ang HD 7870 in 2-way SLI in terms of power consumption sa HD4870 X2... gamay kaayo'g kaon ang HD7870 sa kuryente... hehehe... bitaw, power efficient kaayo ang mga current GPU techs from both AMD and Nvidia...

here's a power consumption link for your GPU...

The power supply +12v rail is rated at 42amps, Im using Powercolor 7870 reference design for crossfire.. the Powercolor 7870 reference design requires 30amps per +12V rail..

So Ok rah gyud diay cya!!! kay ang PSU is rated at 700w peak power...

Thanks for the help boss lloyd_joy

^ you're welcome bro... grats daan for your upcoming Xfirex set-up...

by the way, ang peak sa PSU kay mga 60 secs or less ra na sya. para to cater some power spikes ra na... but again, your 600W true rated PSU is more than enough gyud na sya for your set-up...
