Power Supply requirements

I am building an htpc using a mini-itx case with 270w PSU.
Una nako idea is to use atom 330 (dual core) with nvidia ion chipset and was looking at ZOTAC IONITX-F-E.
Next kahuna-huna ko why not use a borad that utilizies LGA775 with dual core, either core 2 duo or core 2 quad para at least if ever pul-an nako sa akong AMD, I can still use the processor sa ako micro atx na borad. I am looking at these:

then the processor is any 65w intel cpu.

Now, mao na ni akong dilemma, I know that kaya ra sa PSU ang atom ion mobo w/cpu but how about the board that will use the 65W intel cpu?

Also, naa mo mga sites about power supply requirements sa mobo or naay calculations sa PSU sa mobo + cpu + hdd + ram + etc?

It's my first time to use a mini-itx case and searched nga 300w ra ang max na mofit sa akong case. I am use to having micr atx man gud. hehehehehehhe.

if nag problema ka ug PSU bro pasakai lang ang watts sa PSU kay the bigger it is di ma hurt imo system only your budget. make sure its 80plus certified para sa dako na efficiency.

di ko mo prefer ug intel atom mas mo prefer pa ko anang kusog2x gamay ug suyop kaysa hinay na atom kay di kadaog ug facebook mo lag sa flashgames compared sa mga uban hinuon hinay jud ang atom nya bottleneck sa iyang ion na chipset mas maau pa mag i3 na setup.

by the way, unsa nga atom imong girefer? have you tried building an htpc using atom?

Question: what is your PSU? (the 270W) is that generic or branded? If generic na, replace it with a branded one, a 270W true power PSU can handle your HTPC needs. Or you can buy Mini ITX case with 300W PSU on it nga branded na & 80plus certified pa like Silverstone's SG05 & SG06 case...

ok. i got a barnded 80 plus 270w PSU.

i know atom boards with ion chipsets only use 50-70w.

@TS i said if you had a problem with your psu kay wa man sad ka nag post sa imong PSU details ato na time so i was thinking nag problema ka inkaso mag kuha ka anang ubang board na higher ug wattage aside sa atom, and the other was a recommendation naa man cguro micro or mini atx sa mga i3 karon although di ko sweto sa intel.

pila diay budget nimo ani sir? murag mahal2x raba na ang mga gamay na versions sa lga775 maskin gani sa amd setup na mga gagmay na board kalimot ko sa tawag.
naka assemble ko ug atom setup katong first pa jud na version. wa ko na kontento ako gi sell within a month. ang use ato kay torrent and internet surfing. di ka daog oi kutob ra siya torrent although dili to HTPC ug dili sad nvidia ion ang chipset ato ug single core pa sad to 945gclf ma ncguro to.
naa naman 4xx ug 5xx series karon na year gi release na atom processor ambot lang if kusog2x na ddr3 naman sad kasagaran atom na bag-o sa mga laptops ra nuon to nko na bantayan.

klaro man sa akong first post na 270W ang PSU. also, i will be using it for HTPC, only for movies, tv, etc. So why would i need an i3 setup on that?

so you are comparing the new atoms yet you are describing the one that you had? you are even talking about ion when in fact you were using an intel 945gclf board.

d510 (dual core atom) ang girelease karon na year then wala nay ion chipset. also, ang d410 kay dili dual core.
atom 330 (dual core atom) pa ang naay ion chipset nga naay

NVIDIA GeForce 9400, which is linked on my first post and has good review by the way. it runs full 1080p which would be good when connected to my LCD TV.

with respect to amd and intel boards, mas mahal ang amd boards nga mini-itx than intel.

@TS abi man gud nko na generic ang 270watts na psu nimo kay wa man ko kaihibaw sad sa brand. mao to na misunderstood nko as generic, sorry.

i would still recommend the lga 775 with onboard 9300 setup for a bigger headroom.

yeah ako na nasuwayan but lisud man gud asa ibutang na klase sa mobo.

with the review, kabasa sad ko ana last year. no plans of using power DVD nor True Media. I will be using Boxee or MythTV.
