Anyone looking forward to this? Now I know it's another movie based on a popular video game, but Microsoft (who owns Bungie... the game developer) has done something smart. They had a writer pen the movie script first before they went shopping for a Hollywood studio to produce it. They also have strict guidelines about the project and want some kinda creative control during the process.

Hope it turns out well. Who do you think should play Master Chief btw? hehehe

Doom.... lol. That movie is going to suck hard. haha. With Halo though, I dunno... It's just that id is getting old way too fast these days.

I saw bits of the DOOM movie trailer and kinda liked the First-Person-View shots. I just hope my local cinema has at least a Geforce 6600GT graphics card for rendering, otherwise it won't be much of an experience

LATEST UPDATE: They just announced that Peter Jackson and his wife Fran will be exec producers. WETA will do the effects and what have you... and of course.. it will be filmed in New Zealand.

Man, at first I thought this movie will really suck and will totally ruin my fav game.. but hearing PJ will be part of it somehow.. this is shaping up to be an epic (fingers crossed).

(If only Bill Gates agree to play the Master Chief himself now... I'd die happy)

A big problem would be MC himself: there is really no depth to his character considering that in the game, his face is never shown. The director would have to really be very good to pull this one off.

- Uhh, I've always thought that this game's plot is tooo B-Movie, so damn overused. I won't be expecting a good movie on this one, considering the director is going to be Uwe Boll..

+They don't have to focus on MC. If you read the Halo books, its not just bout MC.

+Splinter Cell movie eh? I say Keifer Sutherland as Sam Fisher (don't ask why.. its the whole Jack Bauer thing)

+Far Cry? When I played the game, I felt I was like Arnie on that old movie of his.. COMMANDO. So yeah.. I agree it will suck

It's nice to know someone as good as Jackson is on board making a video game transition to the big screen. Halo is good, but I was really hoping for a Half-Life movie. It has a better storyline IMO.
