To those untrained in the art and science of illusion and trickery, like those filming that stunt, this certainly would look like a demonstration of real mystical powers. Ask that same guy to appear in Penn & Teller's Fool Us show and see if he can get away unscathed. Always reach of the natural explanations first. For something like this, always rule out trickery...and you being untrained in trickery are always the easiest to fool.
