RAM problem

Just installed 2GB RAM stick to add up to the 1GB total of 3GB of RAM.
The computer properties shows different


Win XP 32bit Home Edition SP2 with dedicated graphics card

How can I fix this? TIA

Try using just the 2GB ram if it works.. Then if its working, do they have the same speed? and another thing you can check is if the rams are both single or double sided... Post feedback here boss after checking.

what motherboard? ddr1 or ddr2? onboard videocard or dedicated?

I just solved the problem... Reformatted and re-installed the OS again. More likely it was software related. Thanks for all the replies
