Buying a second hand iphone 4. what to check?

good day sirs et maams. for 3 months na fascinate lang kog kalit sa physical form sa iphone 4/4s. sa balay et school puro man samsung users so makakita ko anang mga s2, ace, y.

karon i am planning to buy a second hand iphone 4.ganahan lang ko maka experience sa feel ani nga phone gud. haha. nya resale lang pud if di ko ganahan.

since di man ko techie (my phone is currently a nokia 120, patudlo ko ninyo unsai dapat i check or i look out if ever mu buy ko ug iphone 4.

i have minimal prior experiences handling iphones (ipad ug ipod ra kasagaran nako ma gamit gd)

-check volume up and down buttons if mo work bah
-check silent switch if mo work bah (note: ig silent nimo dapat mo vibrate ang phone)

nice thread.. atleast ma aware ta ang mga buyers what to check in buying iphone 4 nga second hand,. check jud all the buttons and touchscreen specially ang keypad. kay na biktima ko ani sauna buying itouch 4th gen. ok kaayo tanan buttons pero wala ko kabantay nga sa ubos sa screen ig pislit nimu sa space bar di jud mo function hasta ang shift key. ako gipa check digitizer ang guba. repair cost sa J-tech kay 4.5k nag ask ko sir dave ato.. mao nga be careful jud.. check thoroughly para sure bahala madugay gamay, anyway imu bitaw paliton AS LONG NGA WAY GUBA/DEFECT..

Lets do this systematically

Before you meet the seller of the iphone bring the following

Headphones & Laptop

1. Look at the iphone and look at the box, first things first check the serial in the iphone
Settings>general>about
and make sure it matches the serial number on the box! why? because it will verify that it has never been repaired, and to check that it has not been stolen

2. look at the iphone check all the edges and aluminum band, if you are happy with the condition

3. check the connector and headphone jacks, look carefully and make sure they are not red. if they are they have been water damaged.

4. plug in headphones test the music, plug in to laptop check if it will sync, plug into wall see if it will charge

5. open notes and test the keyboard, press every key in portrait and landscape mode

6. test the wifi, meet at a coffee shop, browse internet, watch youtube video

7. make a call, make a text

8. test the physical buttons, home button. volume up, volume down, the silent switch(phone should vibrate). power button.

9. test the display, browse the internet and look for a black picture and a white picture look closely and make sure there are no dead pixels

10. take a picture, take a video.
