Help : buying second hand ipad what to check??

Im planning to buy a secong hand ipad 1 or 2 pls advice me on what to check.. thanks fellow istoryan!

Before you meet the seller bring both

Headphones & Laptop

1. Look at the ipad and look at the box, first things first check the serial in the iphone
Settings>general>about
and make sure it matches the serial number on the box! why? because it will verify that it has never been repaired, and to check that it has not been stolen

2. look at the ipad check all the edges and aluminum back, if you are happy with the condition

3. check the connector and headphone jacks, look carefully and make sure they are not red. if they are they have been water damaged.

4. plug in headphones test the music, plug in to laptop check if it will sync, plug into wall see if it will charge

5. open notes and test the keyboard, press every key in portrait and landscape mode

6. test the wifi, meet at a coffee shop, browse internet, watch youtube video

7. if the ipad has 3G(black top) try to bring a micro sim before hand and insert into the ipad and try testing the 3G

8. test the physical buttons, home button. volume up, volume down, the rotation lock switch. power button.

9. test the display, browse the internet and look for a black picture and a white picture look closely and make sure there are no dead pixels

10. take a picture, take a video.(not valid for an ipad 1)

that should have covered everything. if there is more feel free add on what ive mentioned

just bought an ipad 64gig.. has few scratches at the edge but works perfectly fine.. I used it since 7:30pm and its now 1:10 its still has 60 percent batt.. hehe lingaw kaau me sa akong uyab..

demetvi maayo na ok ka sa ipad 2 but mas nindot jud ang retina display and ang camera sa ipad 3. bag.o rako nag upgrade, dako jud difference sa camera quality of 5 megapixels from 0.7 megapixels of the ipad 2 and the display is double the size! i think worth it jud cya

lagi bro im looking to upgrade to ipad 4 maybe in a few months time mga mid next year cgru.. kay basin plang naa nasad e release and apple ug ipad 5.. pero as of the moment its serving its purpose. thanks lokster
