I first saw the trailer of this movie, and thought that it was going to be another fantasy/action/adventure type. But I read the reviews, and got something that was totally different. I watched the movie, and I got something that was even more different. For people who expected talking lions, prophecies and magic, think again. It was something totally different; with all the fantasy and magic going on, there was a lot more. The power of friendship, the pain of loss, and the beauty of our own
imagination.... (Hint: for those who watched the movie, and got confused with the constant injection of fantastic creatures, clue in on the word in bold)
This is definitely a must-see for those people who want to look beyond CGI effects and action. I saw 300, and while I was visually impressed with the movie, I was disappointed by its shallow plot. Based on history and a graphic novel/comic, yes, but still, they could have done better. Terabithia, IMHO, is miles ahead.
9/10
Any other thoughts?
P.S. I nearly cried during the movie.. heheh. When I got home, I couldn't help it. I guess I need to see a shrink.
