I've been thinking of what I can buy myself as a Christmas present this coming 13 month pay.
I don't own a console since fam com and never owned any handhelds before (borrowed gameboy and game gear sa ako mga kwartaan nga silingan.. diha ra kutob)

So question, especially sa mga PSP owner. Budget is 7,500 somewhere half sa bonus kai lisud man di ta mag handa ing Xmas.

Worth it ba nga mopalit ug PSP 3006 (brand new)
So far ok ra ba ang mga games? wala nkaha games ani for next year due to Vita's existence?
Is the availability of games enough to justify purchasing a PSP?

mas mu prefer pa ko e palit ug pag-kaon and handa para sa christmas...

or if you want to give it as gift, buy something else like t-shirt, shoes, etc... if gnahan siya ug basketball, imng palitan ug bola or bike ba rn...

para nku bro, bsan asa man imu pili.on...DONT REGRET lng sa imu choice, both has its own advantage and disadvantages. Mag palit man ka ug PSP, mu last long tuod xa, pro usa ra ang ma lingaw at a time, while kung maghanda kag pag kaon, dghan malipay ug mkakaon, pro ang nagasto nimu, kana rpud nga adlaw...example lng na...hehe..ang gi caps ra important jd ana...

its a YES. if you haven't played PSP games. then you are worth entitled to play and finish them all!!

if ganahan paka maka experience sa psp. di gyud ka magmahay knowing nindot kaau ug selection sa games. Pero ganahan ka mu level up sa graphics and other hardware components, go for Psvita. but for me, ang vita dili pa daghan ug games ma pili.an, di parahas sa psp na hacked - maka play na ug downloadables.

I owned the PSP and now own the PSVita and lovin it, the PSP has a TON of games, dugay ka mahutdan but time consuming pd...IMO wait lang a bit to increase your budget and get a Vita.

Personal experience, I had fun with the PSP and loved it, but as i finished my games napul-an na ko after mga 6 years guro pero thats before vita.

Ang ganahan nako sa vita is ang screen, excellent for gaming, movies, music vidz. HD goodness! never looked back

Check sa mga games sa vita ron, if daghan ka ug ganahan, vita nalang gyud, or if ala or meh games ra, PSP.

Nka ulos ko ug PSP lately and enjoyed Fight Night nawala jud ko sa oras ug pwerteng singot sa buttons dinuwa ^^

@ Fafnir = it's a window of opportunity to buy something for myself ing Xmas tungod sa bonus/13th month, as much as I would like to hold back and save another 5k it would only result to be spent on other things before 2012 would end
I know PSP Gfx is a bit old but i believe I would be able to invest on that Vita on Next Year's Xmas if it becomes affordable

Worth it pa kaayo bro. daghan kaayo games ang PSP and there is also a way para mka play ka og PS1 games sa PSP.
pero based sa imong posts above, i would guess that you're a casual gamer, at best. I think mas maayo if mupalit ka og second hand nga unit (less than a year para dili pa kaayo malmal) para makabarato ka gamay. naa sad toh nag baligya sa BnS section og brand new PSP3000 for 6.5k. swak ra kaayo to sa imo budget and, once mapul-an naka, you still have the option to resell it.
