    Default 2 Routers configuration help...

Mga networking gurus, ask lang ko if pwede ba ni nga configuration.

    (internet) -----> Router1 -----> Router2

    Router1: DHCP on , from 192.168.0.51 to 192.168.0.100

    Router2: DHCP on, from 192.168.0.101 to 192.168.0.150

pwede ra 2 ka router with DHCP server on, same subnet?

ang ako purpose is that, if maguba ang router1, computers connected to router2 will still be provided ip-addresses in the network. so pwede ra ni? or dapat ang DHCP server kelangan sa router1 ra jud?

Zentyal - The Linux Small Business Server
ClearFoundation develops ClearOS, a Linux Network, Gateway, Server
pfSense Open Source Firewall Distribution - Home

mas stable jud siya bro. pero lisud gamay buhaton, need more practice pa jud. pero way blema bro, naay daghan forum, kay open source code raman na siya.

dili lang ko anang linux bro kay complicated ra au na sa ako.... mga basics ra ako computer know how. di sad ko nahan mag static kay di nako ka memorize sa mga static ip addresses sa network and i dont want to make a list, hasok na kaayo. so mas mo prefer ko og DHCP server nalang.

anyway, ang requirement lang nako is that all computers connected to ROUTER#2 will always have ip-address given kay they are computers nga work related sa office. computers connected to ROUTER#1 are not important kay they are not work related.. mga laptops, ipads & other devices... and i dont need a large address pool, sufficient na tingali nang 50 ip-address.

In my experience, ako ra man i-change ang IP sa router 2 ana.
    Router 1 --- default IP - 192.168.0.1 (DLink ? )
    Router 2 --- i changed to 192.168.20.1

Automatic man na mosunod ang DHCP niya, right?
Dili pa mud mo-conflict ang IP.

Thanks for all your replies. Anyway, I already tried my setup of having both routers with both DHCP servers turned on and it works just fine.
