Real Teachings of Jesus
"Many speculate about the real teachings of Jesus. The real teachings of Jesus are quite clear from his statements, however. As long as they aren't twisted to fit an agenda. Here we quote Jesus' statements from Matthew using the New International Version - translated from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts by over one hundred scholars of various denominations. We also discuss the translation and meaning of the real teachings of Jesus without regard to denomination, sect or religious institution."
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20)
This statement - given by Jesus as he appeared to his disciples on a mountain near Galilee after the death of his physical body - has been grossly mistranslated by early ecclesiastical (professional) Christian translators and their successors who sought to support the erroneous idea that Jesus is God.
In an attempt to bolster their followers and institutions, they have virtually eliminated God in the teachings of Jesus by stating that Jesus was "God became man." This contradicts Jesus' teachings, such as:
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" (Matt. 7:21-23)
and
"My teaching is not my own. It comes from Him who sent me." (John 7:16)
and
"If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but He sent me." (John 8:42)
These and many other statements by Jesus clarified that he is not God. He is sent by God. He is God's representative.
Being sent by someone means there are two persons: The sender and the one being sent. To confuse the two is to offend both.
