Default SC upholds legality of CCT

SC upholds legality of CCT - The Philippine Star » News » Headlines

Since the Supreme Court upholds its legality .. however in my point of view its better to fund the money generic implementation so that everybody will benefit .... its a waste of money.

“why teach them (beneficiaries) how to fish instead of giving them fish”.

CCT's purpose and intentions of helping is always good. The giving of money is conditional so it's not totally free. The entitled family needs to abide certain conditions ( i.e: sending all their children to school and children should have less absences, mothers undergo routine health check-ups, etc ).
And I think there is no waste of money if the money will be invested to the poor people directly.
Let's hope that with food inside their stomach, they will now have the strength to work harder for their betterment.

One wonders why even with this CCT thing, we still see beggars and street children roaming the streets of Cebu. Wa guro ma.apil sa lista? But really, it's more fun eating the fish that you catch on your own, so the program would have been better teaching people trade skills than just giving dole.outs.

Wala na daw corruption karon ....

The Commission Audit reveals thousands of families who benefit from government's conditional cash transfer program are not really the poorest of the poor. But the Department of Social Welfare and Development said the current administration is not to blame for this.

Normal ra na Ming di jud na malikayan nga naa jud makalusot nga dili unta qualified, not only in government agencies but also in private sector. I had some experience with Habitat and GK, naa jud makalusot nga dili pobre mahatagan balay. That is why there should always be a separate agency to counter check so as to minimize such flaws in the system.
