as someone who is a student of history i have to correct the term nazi party... its not called nazi party but the NSADP (Nazional Sosialitsche Deutsche Arbeiter Partei- National Socialist German Workers' Party) the nazi came as a derogatory term for the members of the NASDP from the word Nazional. the secret to NSADP's success in Germany was its brilliant tactic of putting local branches in every province and town in Germany. Before it even participated in the national elections, there was already nationwide membership although this only numbered less than 5% of the entire population. Also, it was sheer timing that Fascism was on the rise as a middleclass/capitalist reactionary force against communism in Italy. The fascists were successful in industrializing and militarizing Italy and hitler saw that Germany had to copy their model. Also, there was international support from US and other Western countries for the fascists, and subsequently the nazis, because they were the most vocal and militant enemies of the communist-marxists in the form of the USSR alongside the Comintern (commmunist international). One remarkable departure that hitler had from the fascists was his constant hatred against the jews. it is a trademark in most extreme rightwing movements to create a scapegoat for the countries ills and the fascists conveniently put the blame on the italian communists and italian socialists as well as the liberals and democrats. Hitler well included to that list: Gypsies, Jews, homosexuals, Catholics, Jehovah's witnesses, blacks, phyically and mentally handicapped, and the destitute. Also he would create the myth of Aryan supremacy meaning that Germans had the religious justification to subjugate all inferior races. Adding to the fact about discriminating against Jews was his new concept that "Jewishness" is not a matter of faith but of blood. hence even if a jew willingly converts to Catholicism, he's still a jew. even if he's is catholic by birth, if he has jewish blood, he's jew. this in contrast to earlier conception of jewishness based on faith and not on blood.
Another fact: he's the top-three megalomaniac to kill the most (10 million) just behind Stalin (30 million) and Mao (25 million)
