Default VP Binay's Convoy Causes Traffic

Vice President Binay visited Cebu on July 20, 2012. His convoy left the Waterfront Hotel at around 8PM. He was heading to Golden Courie, a restaurant a few hundred meters up the road. He had two police motorcycles leading the convoy with flashing police blue lights and sirens.

Police sedans and motorcycles part of the High Patrol Group were already at Golden Courie controlling traffic. However, a few of their vehicles were blocking one lane in Salinas Drive, Lahug, Cebu, thus, causing traffic.

    Republic Act 4136 states:

"All authorized emergency vehicles, such as ambulance and police cars and fire wagons used for emergency calls shall be equipped with a bell, siren, or exhaust whistle of a type approved by the Commissioner, and no such device shall be installed or used in any other vehicle."

There was no emergency of any sort, just a public servant heading for dinner.

What do you guys think of this?

The only vehicle who were equipped with a siren was the police motorcycle and the rest of the vehicles were only using their hazard lights . As for turning left into a No Left Turn street , feel free to file a report to your nearest LTO office or any gov't office against the Office of the VP . It's just funny to attempt to criticize someone of breaking a traffic law who's just a passenger . LOL .
