Just this morning, when checking out my birds, my finches. Was surprised that one cage, my finch was missing. So I thought it might have died or what. There was no body on the cage, so I check the bird house. I saw something rubbery and stripe. Took a closer look and waaahhh! It's a snake! It has swallowed my finch..

hibernating after its meal.
Was really surprised how the snake was able to get unto the cage as the cages are hanging in the ceiling (ng ala spiderman/cliffhanger siguro from the airvents of the ceiling outside ang snake). There was a closer cage a foot or so away from the air vents, pero kadto pa jud layo ang gi tripingan ni snake.. haissstt..
They used to have partners, they were a couple. Pero weeks passed by. All the females died first. A mysterious death. My theory was maybe the male went berserk and killed their partners at night as at times I can hear struggle and panic at nights on the bird cages (must have been the snake stalking them all along- able to bite but not get inside the cage as the partner would defend or shove the snake away) But this time they are all alone on the cage. No partner to help defend. The snake was successful this time..
Now, what to do with that fat snake hibernating inside the bird house/cage??
RIP finch..

p.s. my younger sister won't even dare glance at the snake. she pity my birdy.. tsk tsk tsk..
