Thread: bottleneck

    Default bottleneck

I'm currently using gtx 560 ti 1gb videocard but on core2duo 2.4gh and 2 gig ram. if i upgrade processor to Intel Core i3-2100 (3.1G) 3mb, plus entry level motherboard plus 4 gig ram. will it be worth the upgrade. mga 8.7k worth more or less. my question is that will it make a huge difference in terms of performance?

    TIA

its not worth it imho. better performance if you double your ram and use ssd. save the rest for a core i5/i7 ivy and a mid-high gpu later on...maybe a year or so from now

i suggest saving a bit more for an unlocked quadcore i5 at least for future proofing, you wont need the extra overclocking capabilities right now, but once more tech develops, you can overclock your procie maybe a year or 2 years later when games become more demanding.

    unsay gamitan sa upgrade?

    duwa or seriuos work?

    is ur C2D e4600?
    AnandTech - Bench - CPU

more than worth the value if you're after performance

    is your C2D E6600?
    AnandTech - Bench - CPU

its still gud for your budget..

but i wud suggest u buy the Z77 express motherboard for ivy bridge upgrade later on..asrock have a 4K+mobo

or PRE-SELL the C2D 2.4Ghz + Mobo + 2GB ram for additional cash to save up for ivy.

and yeah..have a real quad if ur into serious stuff like image and video editing

since your just into gaming, any dual core CPUS are just good. you can go to i3 better yet i5, but i3's are good enough. then yeah like what others recommended get yourself an ivybridge procies/3rd gen.. also it would be better if you upgrade your RAMs to gaming RAM not lowprofile rams. palit lng guro ug gksill na brand i wud recommend ripjaws, 4gb atleast or dretso nlng 8gb..
den if ur really into gaming and since your vcard is midrange 560ti, it needs some serious cooling.. so if you don't have good case for cooling and good powersupply I would suggest you really spend a lot on upgrading those stuffs since its more vital if you want your PC to last.. good cooling and trusted power supply..

Year 2010 onwards gaming gain more from processors capable of at least 3threads.
Low profile ddr3 rams or not, they have little effect on frame rates.
