CPU Usage 100%

guys, what does it mean if 100% pirmi akong CPU usage? my PC runs slow because of that i think... maski wala ra kaayo koy g buhat, 100 percent sya.. whats wrong? please help me. thanks.

Search for the usual suspsects: spyware, viruses and other malicious types of software (trojans, worms, etc.) using your antivirus program. Use the Task Manager and see what task is taking up all that CPU time. It could be the Windows Indexing Service or something else.

As in the previous post, what do you see in your tasks manager (I am assuming of course that you are running a Windows box)? If there are processes that seems to be out of the ordinary, google the process name and you will have an idea of what's slowing down your system. The following is a screen cap of mine:

ahhhh been there done that, if your not running any applications in the system, check the task manager, check which process is consuming the bulk of cpu use (except system idle) and try to google that process (and how to stop it) , probably malware is infecting it, or a lot of reasons actually

no dont format. if your using the windows xp os with no sp2, thats an os bug. download the updates and install them. had the same problem before. even on sp2 you still need to download the updates and install them so the system will run stable.

dont format...try to disable the service that think you are not using

I suggest to not format also...
check all your processes and remove what you think is suspicious.
I suggest you do some full system scan for viruses and spywares.
