    Default PCI-E 3.0 Backwards Compatibility

So ako gi Google regarding aning PCI-E 3.0 backwards compatibility but found no legit answers.
    Im asking this to understand if a modern Graphics Card lets say a 7750 1GB 128bit DDR5 DX11.1 OpenGL 4.2 (Bus = PCIe 3.0 x16)
plugged in to a PCI 2.0 or PCIe x16 (1.0?) would the VC loose some its performance specs to a lesser value in order to function on an older PCI slot (a ASUS P5KPL-AM perhaps?)

Thanks sa inputs, really messed my mind when i saw in google that the VC's shown Specs are for PCI 3.0 and that plugging it on an older PCI would make it perform lesser since again the specs were advertised only for PCI 3.0 (Bus)

it will function just the same... less its full speed though if used on the ver 3 PCie & IB processor as the basis on speed... but still the bandwidth will be very fast on ver 2... we can not notice the difference on both in the actual real world application... except in running bench marking software (if there is available for this one now)...

So by bandwidth which aspect sa VC? noob question, the DDR5 will lessen to somewhat a DDR3?

It wouldn't matter as the clock of your 3.0 will step down when plugin to 2.0 pciex. And the pciex 2.0 will still work same in 3.0 when plugin.
