Opening a boutique

I am not sure if this would be the right place for this but here goes.

First off, I am not trying to sell anything. I currently live in the US and looking to come back to the Philippines and invest in something. I am trying to get a feel of the fashion industry there and the economy. My passion is in fashion clothing, accessories, health & beauty. I am very interested in opening up a boutique with small but quality collection of high end, couture, designer items (make-up, shoes, bags, perfumes, collectibles, etc.). My biggest concern is the predominance of knock-offs/replica, etc. Is Cebu a good town to open up something like this or will it just pretty much be ignored because of the $$$ items.

Thought I'd bump this up to see if anybody wants to check some items off their Christmas wish list this year. I might be coming home Nov/Dec. I am hauling a bunch of make up sets, perfumes (Estee, Dior, Lancome, Gucci, etc)

I am open to suggestions and requests. Also have designer jeans, handbags, clothes. Also, any suggestions on which is the best place to park my goods at?

nice business mam but its always about location,location,location

usually its nice to have a boutique in a commercial place and where the girls like to hang around and also try to target the tourist

Thanks, I was considering opening up a small stall/space in a mall but with the volume of my goods, its not that smart to be upside down on my lease right off the bat. I am hoping to start with word of mouth at a smaller not so expensive space mid town. But thanks for the suggestion, definitely considering it.

Join bazaars, or approach mall boutique owners and do consignment with some of your products. If all fails, create a facebook account and sell them online.
