What reasons are there for people to buy other motherboard brands instead of the stock Intel motherboards? The Intel boards seem to have good features and are priced lower. Are they less durable or less forgiving when paired with the other components? Am planning to buy a new board and would like Istoryans' advice.

mura d man pwede ma overclock ang intel boards...i think thats one good reason..other one is the aesthetic side, meaning, the looks, bling2 ang stuff. pero if ur not into oc and ok ra nimo simple looking na board...then pag intel boards na lang...

Intel mobos are overpriced for what they can do... and they can't do much in the first place. they OC poorly and don't have added features present to other motherboard manufacturers ie. crossfire, sli, special mosfets (Dr. Mos, etc), special chipset heatsinks, and other features...

Also, i doubt if they have 3rd party controllers ie. extra SATA 3 / USB 3.0 controllers since intel has limited their integrated support for these.

nindot ang intel boards for normal use (stable / durability ) ... if hardcore OC'er ka.. it is not for you.

Intel mobos are good for basic computing. Stable as well but it seems they were overlooked! coz it doesnt have any blingbling features and OC'ed capabilities as well.
