what version of divx are you using? divx installs its own directshow filters for decoding audio and video, just don't install any codec pack yet. but if you really need to install a codec pack, you're better off with shark007's codec pack than the k-lite codec pack, many systems have been broken because of k-lite. try re-installing your divx player first. you don't really need to install tons of other directshow filters just because the audio of your movie file won't play. try installing the newest Xvid codec first, it won't break your system and it will decode any divx file you've got (http://www.xvid.org/Downloads.15.0.html).

Shark007's codecs or k-lite codecs will give you good result if done it right (needs a little tweaking sa setting especially sa k-lite codecs). And experimenting with different media players, mega codecs or even video editing softwares can overwrite codecs that you already have and sometimes mess up your system.

thank pooldee but i dont the driver is the problem because playing other video formats such us avi wmv mp4 3gp they all play well with good audio
its only the HD mkv files which doesnt produces any audio

i had just tried shark007 codec
something good happend it produces audio but of very low volume
