Default "video card" or "codecs" problem?

good day istoryans, i encountered a problem with my pc... i have 10 divx and xvid downloaded movies... im running dual os windows xp and windows vista ultimate.
in windows vista ultimate, all movies are properly displayed
while in windows xp with "ffdshow" codecs installed, 3 of the 10 movies are not properly displayed. here are some sample pics of the not properly displayed movies:

as you can see, there are yellowish portions of the picture and there is some kind of violet line.
could this be a video card problem? or a codec problem?

i have palit 8800gts 320mb with updated drivers. hope you can help.[br]Posted on: October 15, 2007, 07:46:54 PM_________________________________________________a nd some additional info:

    - i have another pc running windows xp with "ffdshow" codecs installed. it is properly displaying all 10 movies. im using built-in gf6100 video.

    another info:

    - i was playing bioshock with the other pc that has the 8800gts last saturday, but napalong kalit ako pc tungod naay ni spark nga electric wire sa amo neybor. wala man pud nasunog or ni aso ako pc, napalung lang, and after 1 minute nibalik ang koryente, ni function raman pud ako pc. and it is protected by UPS and HECwinpower 550.
I dont know if ako video card na apektuhan sa kato pag spark sa koryente unya mao di na proper displaying sa color sa movie in windows xp. could this be possible?

but before the electric spark, wala pud ko nakasulay pasalida sa windows xp ato nga mga movies so i really have no idea if the color problem was caused by the electric spark or naa najud to daan nga problemaha before the electric spark.

I guess there's no problem with your video card since you can view your videos in your vista. the're might be a problem in the driver in your xp or your player. try to use K-Lite Codec Pack. let me know.

natingala lang ko ky ffdshow was ok with the pc nga built-in gf6100 ang gamit while kato pc nga 8800gts dili ok ang ffdshow.
