A serious, a semi-well-prepared shoot... and yet, my pics were horrible... LOL!!!

1) a group poses para ma picturan in a low ambient, CLICK!!! OK!!! exif, 1/30, f/8... unfortunately, i forgot to turn on the flash.. LOL!
2) with another event, a group posed.. low light... very low light... Again I forgot to turn ON my flash... using kit lens, for almost 10 secs (thats a while!), ingon nalang ko.. OK!!!.. LOL!!! my camera wasn't able to focus and i wasn't able to shoot... LOL! damn flash!

3) i made 5 clicks with the right settings and flash, with 5 different people... yet i forgot to put in my CF Card... LOL!
more to come, ako usa hinumduman... hehehe...
recently at an event I was employed by a client who was the major sponsor of the event. Earlier on, I was already aware that there were two other photographers who were covering the event. I assumed they were the official photographers. I, on the other hand, was only to take pictures of two CEOs of two companies and the culminating event for that morning.
One of them approached me, even talked to me in a friendly manner. I was asked who employed me and I thought it was only proper that I told them since they might think I was crashing their gig. 10 minutes later, the main photographer approached me in boastfully and asked that I get an ID or leave the area. I told him to talk to my client, who was one of the CEOs, seated a few seats from me. The CEO looked at the guy talked to him and told him that if he was going to send me out to get an ID 10 mins before I had to shoot, the event might as well be cancelled since his company funded the whole event.

studio shoot @ my place...client was a model needing a new folio...
prep the concept, prep the materials, prep the styling/makeup, etc.
while i was preping the lights as shes getting ready i could already tell she was in a bad mood.
she started showing some really bad attitued so i started my peptalk...no effect...
so i warned her as i was starting to get pissed at her. to make the long story short.
i kept my cool. keept my temper in check. got her infont of the camera with a lot of effor and more peptalk. after a few clicks she still wouldnt get in the game...man at least she could have been professional about it and drop her issues aside for the moment (all of her issues had nothing to do with the shoot or the people there) gave it 5mins to cool down and start again. but after 3 click she started ranting again...i got up walked towards her...showed her previews of the photos...press format infront of her (deleting everything) ended the shoot and threw her out of my studio.
that night and every day for a couple weeks she kept texting and apologizing...i did accept her apology but i refuse to work with her again...hehe...up until a year or so later when she begged me again that i though maybe she changed or learned her lesson...those pics we eventual took landed her some international work...
remeber photographers, its our rule...
never be a pushover to your models...
take charge of the shoot...

@sister maria... i could imagine how your hubby must have turned over your whole studio just to look for those films hehehe... and maybe even wnt back and forth to different places to look for themyour bad hehe
@edwin - it was a rented studio (for the whole class). he had to borrow a few medium format positives and 135s. he still has no idea why it disappeared in the studio and reappeared in the boot of the car.
