    Default Hyper acidity and Diet


    I'm cutting down on my food intake, so I decided to stop eating rice and go healthy with just wheat bread and whatever viand we have at home (not too fattening though) and veggie salad...
    The thing is, my hyper acidity is acting up.. my tummy hurts a lot when i don't eat rice.. k ma gutom man ko dayon.. i tried to snack on soda crackers and pretzels, but unfortunately, it's still the same thing.. i don't get much exercise as my schedule is really the pits.. i work from 8pm - 4am and i need to get home as soon as i'm off because i need my sleep.. i'm usually with my 8 month old baby boy from 8am-3pm and it's not an easy task. i'm usually drained.. thus, the absence of exercise...
    do you guys have any advice on how i can go on my no rice diet without my hyper acidity acting up? i believe this is the best diet for me.. so i hope this really works.. Help!!

    i have also hyperacidity..mas worse pa gani kay gastritis.. what I do is I eat fruits every 2hrs.. kay pirme jd gahilab ako tyan.. ingon pd ako kauban diri kay gadiet mn cya because of high cholesterol, a great substitute of rice kay kamote daw or any nga lagutmon(saging,apali,ube,gabi..i don't know kaila ka sa uban).. i don't know if it works for you but at least give it a try,,

    cant we settle for over the counter medicines for hyperacidity? ako pd lage, i keep on burping! hangtod nalang makatulog ko.. tsk!

    i'll try if it works for me...i'm not really a big fan of saging.. but if it works why not..

    i also read sa other thread na fruits is not really advisable sa nag diet.. something to do with fructose. but i think saging will be an exception.. so will try it..

    i don't want to be dependent on OTC meds for hyper acidity.. when my hyper acidity acts up, i take ranitidine for it... or kremil-s kng naa ko sa office..
    sometimes, it gets really bad, and heartburn na ko.. ugggh!

    stress also causes hyperacidity... so you might want to destress too...

    About your diet, I suggest you avoid acidic foods as it will trigger more acid to your precious tummy. Hehehe!

    with your stressful life it's impossible not to take meds. Banana is acidic pud. Mas nice ang kamote or oatmeals, cereals, bread etc. You have to lessen the stress, stop eating acidic food & no softdrinks or juice, just water. Kinahanglan jud kag balance nya rest as much as possible.

    yes, thanks so much! i read the article.. good thing i'm not a big fan of spicy food. i am also taking the medicines mentioned there.. zantac and prevacid..

    trying to be stress free, but it's not that easy.. it's easier to be stressed than not to be. LOL.. i'm not eating any acidic food, as far as i am concerned and I have already stopped drinking softdrinks as it can also affect my diet..
