Default Cooler Master launches Hyper 612 PWM, Hyper 612S and GeminII S524 CPU coolers

Cooler Master launches Hyper 612 PWM, Hyper 612S and GeminII S524 CPU coolers by VR-Zone.com

    Cooler Master Hyper 612 PWM

Cooler Master has announced three new CPU coolers, the tower-styled Hyper 612 PWM and Hyper 612S, and the down-draft GeminII S524.

The tower-styled Hyper 612 PWM and Hyper 612S share the same heatsink body; the heatsink is built with aluminium fins with wider spacing to maximize air flow with low RPM fans. In addition, these fins sport cut-outs on them to further reduce air resistance and improve cooling performance. A full copper base with six soldered heat pipes are used for efficient heat dissipation from the processor.

    Cooler Master Hyper 612S

The difference between these two sinks lies with the fans used on them. The Hyper 612 PWM is equipped with two wide-range 600rpm to 2000rpm 120mm PWM fans, providing an excellent balance between noise levels and cooling performance. Also, the 612 PWM has a special heat sink top for asthetic purposes. The 612S uses two 1300rpm 120mm fans, but they can be throttled down to 900rpm with the aid of an included 'silent adapter'.

    Cooler Master GeminII S524

The down-draft GeminII S524 measures about 144mm wide, in order to accomodate both 120mm and 140mm fans. Its larger footprint allows for more cooling area as well as allowing the heatsink to overhang either the motherboard's VRM area or the memory slots for indirect cooling. The S524 is bundled with a 800rpm to 1800rpm 120mm PWM fan. The clearance between the underside of the aluminium heatsink fins to the socket level is 47mm, which is fairly high to accomodate performance memory with heatsinks (save for some ridiculously tall ones). The copper base is electroplated, and is mated to five 6mm heat pipes.

The measurements of the Hyper heatsinks are 140 x 128 x 163mm in size and 806g in weight, while the GeminII comes in at 144 x 144 x 105mm and 490g respectively.

All three coolers are compatible with Intel's LGA 775, 1155 and 1366 sockets and AMD's Socket AM2 through AM3+, including the latest FM1.

The Hyper 612S is expected to be ready September and for a price of about S$78.5 (2,750 PHP).
