    Default hal.dll missing or corrup

hello mga bros, I hope matabangan ko ninyo ani.

My old dell inspiron 6000 laptop suddenly went bsod. After restart, dili mo matter kong safe mode, normal mode, lgc mode, dili gyud mo sulod sa windows. sige gyud ingon odbc32.dll is missing and then msgina.dll is missing. So I tired the following

    1. Used win xp install disk to try to repair windows - dili pwede. windows disk cannot see the windows installation sa hard drive only the partition which was weird because 1 was fat32 the other ntfs. didnt remember partitioning my hard drive like that. so no joy diri
    2. went into recovery console and copied odbc32.dll and msgina.dll from windows install disk to c:\windows\system32. Copying was successful but now its saying the hal.dll is missing or corrupt. Cant copy hal.dll from windows disk because it keeps saying access denied.
    3. tried fixboot, bootcfg, fixmbr -nothing works
    4. actually tried chkdsk /r and still doesnt work.
    5. only other option i found on the internet was using the hard drive as a secondary drive and repairing it that way. problem is its a sata laptop hardrive and wont connect to a desktop sata connector.

Is there a repair shop that can fix this for me? need a competent and honest shop hopefully near IT Park. Daghang salamat

Try repairing using the recovery cd that comes with your laptop. You can repair your installation by choosing install (not repair) then choose repair current windows installation. Maybe the FAT32 partition that you saw was the reserved space created by Dell for the recovery files (drivers and softwares).

tried that, it doesnt work. windows installer cannot see the windows installation on hard drive only the partitions. it doesnt give me the option to repair.

Unya na wala pud ako system32 folder mao na ang hal.dll nawagtang. maygani pwede pa na recover akong mga pron uh i mean files. hehe
