Best bang for the buck HDD

its been so long since i've bought one of these and wanted to know which one does the best any suggestions would be great XD most probably 500g will do i think not looking for a very expensive hard drive

Budget would be around 2k

any brand will do as long as it keeps up to its name

and the more space the better XD

in terms of performance:
Samsung spinpoint F3 HD103SJ (1TB) or HD502HJ (500GB)
the 1tb version is by far the bang for the buck which is why it's currently sold out on newegg

Or if want to save, then go for seagate. I think mas maka less gamay and no problem with warranty if ever mopalyar. I'm not a seagate fanboi hap! all my HDDs are WD

^^sakto pud. considering i've experienced bad service from samsung so yea i agree. You won't go wrong with WD, seagate, or samsung (except warranty maybe) tbh. just stay away from hitachi. i've read a lot of horror stories from hitachi users. But from what i understand, they did improve their QC recently though.
