Default Nikon D7000 hot spots issue

    Nikon D7000

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally its here! After waiting for a long time the D90 replacement(?)is finally available. However, it is disappointing to discover that there is a glitch in its firmware. Those of you who have gotten your unit already and have not discovered it yet, during video mode "hot spots" are visible specially if you are shooting dark areas, likewise if you turn it on with the lens cap attached at ISO 400 or 800 and turn it to "Live view" you will likewise see the "Hot Spots", in all the different modes. I have personally inspected 5 units, 2 kitlens, and 3 body only and all results are the same. There is a Nikon advisory at www.nikonhq. com, that Nikon is preparing a solution to this, hopefully they would upload it soon.
I don't know if this is an isolated case or all the released units have the same problem.
    Propective buyers be advised.
    Appreciate your comments or feedbacks.

thanks for the heads up sir... im planning to buy this unit by end of the year.

does the problem occur only during video mode or both shooting and video? if its only during the video i think its ok coz i won't be using it primarily as a video cam and maybe when the firmware will be updated these problem will be addressed...

@pranchiz, sa video mode ra sya obvious bro. di man affected ang iyang function as a camera, no effect on the pictures also. Only time you would notice it is when it is on Live View with the lens cap on, when the LCD should be completely black, that is the time you would notice the hot pixels, blue, red, yellow and white dots are scattered all over. In some units more than others, in some quite obvious other unit you would have to use the magnify button to really see them.
Other than that I'm happy with it, though I have to find the time to really toy with it yet.

sir i have been reading a lot about this hot pixel issue so far you are the first one encountered that said this happens in iso 400 or 800, usually other forums said its at higher ISO's

if it happens at this ISO level that sure is bad
considering u tested 5 units this is a bad first batch
