    Default Nikon D7000

Finally its here! After waiting for a long time the D90 replacement(?)it is disappointing to discover that there is a glitch in its firmware. Those of you who have gotten your unit already and have not discovered it yet, during video mode "hot spots" are visible specially if you are shooting dark areas, likewise if you turn it on with the lens cap attached, ISO 400 or 800 and turn it to "Live view" you will likewise see the "Hot Spots", I have personally inspected 5 units, 2 kitlens, and 3 body only and all results are the same. There is a Nikon advisory at www.nikonhq. com, that Nikon is preparing a solution to this, hopefully they would upload it soon.
I don't know if this is an isolated case or all the released units have the same problem.
    Propective buyers be advised.
    Appreciate your comments or feedbacks.

i have a nikon d7000 and it is true. but it does not bother me at all because the hot pixels will only appear when you shoot video on a a low light situation with high iso in which case i rarely do. (except of course if i will compose a *** scandal or whatever which a dslr is not very handy at). the still photos and features are stupendous, wherein a dslr, in the first place, is supposed to do. by the way, canon 7d suffers from this issue also.

@ zubanu, sorry bro, I thougth photography aside from being a source of livehood is also a hobby, this is the hobbies and crafts thread, rigth?

@ teoding, i agree bro, video cameras are for making movies and still cameras are for taking photographs, but what gets my goat is paying a substantial amount of hard earned money only to get an equipment with some kinks in it. Well, what else is new, rigth? same thing happened when iphone was launched and likewise when the new MS OS was launched as well. I just hope that they discovered this flaw before the put it in the market and hopefully now that they are aware of it, they would soon upload the fix for the firmware.
I not trying to bash Nikon here, since I am a die-hard Nikon user myself. Maybe this will serve as a "heads up" to those who intend to get one. But if they don't mind the "minor" glitch or mind waiting for the firmware fix , then all is well that ends well.
