    Default hdmi signal not detected

good day istoryans, i have a little problem regarding the hdmi connection of the pc to a sony bravia lcd tv.

    pc specs:
    i5 760
    asus p7h55-m
    evga gts450
    kingston 4gb ddr3

    hdmi cable from cdr king

do you think the problem could be from the cable?

there is an error screen in the tv saying that the "signal is not supported"

    thank you

check the hdmi version. maybe the versions are different... the latest hdmi right now is 1.4a which supports 3D me thinks.

it should. audio support was added in v1.2b i think but im not sure. HDMI is not really a monitor interface, it's more for TVs. Dili ko suhito jud unsay backward compatibility sa HDMI but i do know daghan na siya versions which might be the cause sa imong case

@eldonex " can you check at the back of your TV and it should have a sign reading "PC" and mine is a DVI input and I have to use a separate RCA cable for the audio connected to the sound card on my PC to the audio in on the TV

just a heads up most of the lcd tv's does not accept PC signal thru hdmi and only thru the PC input but keep on trying maybe your lcd tv supports it...you can also check your manual to save you some trouble.
