Here's another factor to consider pre. what's your process and what power supply are you using? This also happens when your PSU can't supply enough power to your drives. In my case I had 2 drives NOT detected coz then I only had 300W PSW with 4 drives and a GF6600.

    tnx sa replies.

@darkdevil: gi try na nako ug ilis ug ide cable. wa gihapon.

@fish: na install na nako ang ide drivers. secondary master ra man unta ang kaning dvd-rom. ako pa man gani gi suwayan ug primary slave sa hard drive.

@tokidoki: i'm using AMD Athlon XP 2000+ using Sunstar 350W PSU on Windows XP Pro. bag-o pa gani nako gi ilisan ug PSU.

sulayi daw ug primary master. kung wala gihapon, sulayi ug taod sa lain nga system. kung dili lang gihapon, kahibalo naka unsay deperensya.

delete lower and upperfilters in registry editor bai..

if ur going to check in device manager there's an exclamation mark on the dvdrom it's because
the driver is not loaded properly...

    here's how...

    type regedit in RUN.

    +HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    +system
    +CurrentControlSet
    +Control
    +Class
highlight 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318 and look for lower and upperfilters and delete it, reboot your pc.

tried it tons of times it works 100% for me...

since u said it's detected in bios clearly just a software issue.

    feedback lang if ni work...
