Default Have you ICE your cellphone? I did..

ICE stands for "In Case of Emergency".

You put the word "ICE" on the number of the person that if anything happens to you, and rescuers got a hold of your cell, they can directly notify the person that may be directly responsible for you.

Let's say your parents' number, instead of papa? you replace it with "ICE"..in that way rescuers will be able to notify your father right away. Or your landlady's number or something like that...

Sorry mods if naa nay sama ani. I think I posted a similar topic years ago..

Ang problema > kung kinsa'y first morespond sa aksidente has no idea what ICE means.
The rescuers will try to look for PAPA or MAMA in your phonebook as first priority.

And besides, diba this needs a software installed?

This has become a global campaign. The paramedics are very much aware of this. So kung sila ang una mo-respond, ICE ilang una pangitaon.

But in reality sa Pilipinas, good luck nalang if wala pa kawata imong celfone before the rescuers arrive.

    That is so true, Motown.
There are always looters lurking around somewhere especially when there's fire.

sitekeeper you can also refer to the link provided... for info pertaining to software and all about ICE. As far as I know there is no need for softwares. The thing that is very important is that the one to be notified should know your blood type, allergies, and other basic information for faster treatment.

I did not made this up this has been used in Europe and other countries (it's in the link)...

Maybe our local police, paramedics, and other agencies that may be involved in emergencies don't know it yet...I'm hopeful that someone may notice this and becomes a procedure to help rescue or identify people...

magamit man sad siya labi nag makakita tag cell di ta kabao sa kinsay tawagan sa iya phonebook (which happen to me) para iuli. Kung mapractice ni sa kadaghanan dali na lang..
