Default Sound problem? Driver or Hardware?

Mga bro experts I need your opinion I just got a bnew laptop and just installed windows 7 sa laptop then I can hear the sounds of the windows like clicking and login/shutdown sound but after installing drivers from CD that came from the package there are times during boot it has no sound but the system tray sound icon is visible and normal when I play mp3/videos it plays but no sound no matter how I raise the volume of the player.

The things I did for troubleshooting was uninstalled the sound driver and revert the windows universal driver back and it works fine and no matter how many times I tried restart I can hear sounds, play music as well etc...

Now I downloaded the latest sound driver from the manufacturers website w/ the latest one and so far for 1-2 days right now it performs normal.

Pero the question is to those who encountered this issue on windows 7 what do you think is the problem Hardware or Software?

Do you think this is common to the laptop coz this is the first time I encountered this issue.

Pls lamdagi ko mga experts. Thank you kaayo.

the common issue if you are installing windows 7 is that the audio driver should be downloaded to its specific model for desktops and laptops mao ra gyud na ang kulang. you must install manually. but for some motherboard for desktops or old models also in laptops automatic na cya ma install ang built-in audio driver. in addition to that you really nid to install the graphics drivers for better video quality...

never install drivers from given CD. always install latest drivers off manufacturer's website.

Thanks ninyo mga bro. Ako gigamit ang CD driver comes w/ the lappy so basically its a all in one install.

Like I said I used the latest driver from the manufacturer I downloaded it and install it manually and it works perfectly but just for 1-2 days already and subject to observation.

I want to determine the culprit if the hardware or driver?
