keys on keyboard not working, virus or hardware problem

I don't know if this is the place for query. This problem started 3 days ago. My keyboard freezes. I can't type a word however when i do games i can type. Mouse works fine though. Wondering if this is due to a virus or just some hardware problem. Need help on this one. By the way I'm using on screen keyboard to type this.

Its obviously the keyboard is malfunctioning, did you tried using different keyboards? Ni occur gihapon ang problem?

Ah ic I thought desktop PC.

If laptop, maybe virus not usually hardware probs.

Try REFORMAT ur OS if the prob still exist.

I have encountered that problem also with my laptop but much worst than that kay intermittent man akoa.
what i did was to really disconnect manually the laptop keyboard connection then insert a usb keyboard just to type.

but i think in your case, try uninstall your keyboard driver kung wa pa nimo ni format imong HD. then restart your laptop and observe if it will work. if your OS is XP, it will auto install the default keyboard driver once you start up your windows.
