Tsk tsk tsk. What is up with Sony these days? Rootkits, high PS3 prices, and now exploding 'Spontaneos Combustion Technology' on thier batteries.Sony said its recent recalls - 1.8 million batteries for Apple and 4.1 million for Dell announced last week - will cost the company between $172 million and $258 million.
What's next? 'Sony PS3 can cause carpet fire.'
so whats up with those batteries? who did they manage to miss years of research on those exploding problem
Sony is also the manufacturer credited with the CCD problem plaguing several models of digital cameras two years ago.Originally Posted by obemon

^^^although those batteries r used in cars bro, it s not as dangerous as d ones in d laptops. apparently the downside of the batteries s relative to their smaller/thinner sizes dat s wat the market demands now for mobile solutions
as far as ive read, the downsizing has reached a limit wherein the impurities in the electrolyte (though very very small) could rupture the separation of the terminals thereby causing a short which could possibly result in an explosion
Crap, there's motherf****** Dells and Apples on motherf****** planes!
